How to Get a Job Fast - 3 Powerful Tips for Getting a Job Fast in Any EconomyCopyright (c) 2010 Tony Mase As I write this, the "official" unemployment rate in the United States, where I live, is 9.7%. In some states here, the "official" unemployment rate is as high as 14.1%. Some peg the "real" numbers at more than twice those. Whatever the actual numbers are, obviously, it's one too many if you're one of them, isn't it? Here are three powerful tips for getting a job fast, regardless of what the "economy" is or isn't doing at any given point in time: Powerful Tip #1 - Get Your Head Screwed on Straight If you think the economy is "bad", it is. If you think there aren't any jobs, there aren't. If you think you won't get a job, you won't... it's that simple! Here's the deal... Regardless of what the apparent state of the "economy" is at any given point in time - good, bad, or indifferent - for those who are willing to work and give their employer far *more* in "use value" than they receive in "cash value", there are *always* jobs available. Thus, if you're willing to *work* and provide your employer *value* far in excess of that for which you'd be paid, there *is* a job out there, right now, right this very moment, just sitting there with your name on it waiting for you to show up... *Know* that there is and go find it! Powerful Tip #2 - Treat Getting a Job as Your Full-Time Job Just the other day, someone was whining to me about how they couldn't find a job. I asked him how many jobs he applied for in the last week... His answer? One. That's right... Believe it or not... ONE! No wonder he's unemployed. He was probably working one hour a week and getting paid for forty, when his employer finally smartened up. My advice? Don't let that be you! Powerful Tip #3 - Ask Not What Your Potential Employer Can Do for You, Ask What You Can Do for Your Potential Employer Now, this may come as an absolute shock to you, but, though there may be an occasional exception here, your potential employer doesn't really give a rat's behind about you and/or your family. Sad, but true. What they care a lot about is what you can do for *them*! Therefore, rather than inquiring about what the pay and benefits are, you'd be far better served by finding out *exactly* what they need and/or want and *selling* them on how you can *more* than fill their need and/or want. Getting a job fast, regardless of the so-called "economy", is nowhere near as difficult as some folks would have you believe it is, if (the key word here is *IF*) you get your head screwed on straight, treat getting a job as your full-time job, and find out what your potential employers needs and/or wants and *sell* them on how *you* can *more than fill that need and/or want. Do these three simple things consistently and, I can tell you from personal experience, you won't be unemployed for long! More informationSick and tired of being the "hiree"?
