How should we judge Gordon Brown's performance as Chancellor and latterly as Prime Minister.

The beginning of the end for personal and private pensions was on 17th March 1998his was the date of Gordon Brown?s first full budget. The Labour Government under Tony Blair as Prime Minister had come in to power in the May of 1997 and had inherited a strong economy from the previous Chancellor Ken Clarke.

What ever we may think of Gordon Brown MP he does seem to be a great survivor but I think in many ways he reminds me of a captain on a ship that has lost control of its steering, navigation and radar systems.

Political arguments have become intense over the last 20 years and super intense over the last year. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as words and ideas are represented honestly. Increasingly, however, with political correctness and a main stream media that is more concerned with cheer leading the Obama administration than honest reporting, people must make an effort to look past what is said and get to the real meaning of the words.
